GOLDEN – John R. ""Johnny"" Jackson, 67, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Red Bay Hospital. He was born in Franklin County, Ala. on Jan. 21, 1947. He was a truck driver and member of Believers Baptist Church in Fairview.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. Carlton Jackson and Bro. Harold Ozbirn officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home Belmont is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, LaRue Jackson of Golden; two daughters, Carol Greene (Kim) of Dennis and Sonya Eaton of Golden; one son, Bro. Carlton Jackson of Golden; four grandchildren, Nathanael Greene, Elizabeth Scott (McKinnley) and Jacob Lynch, all of Dennis and Carley Jackson of Golden; and two sisters, Tommie Ann Wigginton of Belmont and Linnie Mae Dees (Rick) of Halltown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvie and Lois Jackson; brother, Sammy Jackson; nephew, Chad Jackson; niece, Sandra Wigginton Collier; brother-in-law, Obie Wigginton; son-in-law, Lil Dan Eaton; aunt, Dot Harrison; and uncle,Howard McCarley.
Pallbearers will be Rick Dees, Mike Gannon, Jim Gannon, Clint Gannon, Shone Wigginton and William Lynch.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
