TISHOMINGO – Keith Edward Deaton, 61, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Dec. 18, 1952, in Paden. He was a diesel mechanic currently working for MDOT. He was a member of Paden Baptist Church and served in the National Guard.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Paden Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Rogers and Bro. J.B. Burns officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery at Tishomingo. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are one daughter, Kristy Deaton (Chasity Brown) of Tishomingo; one brother, Robert Deaton (Debbie) of Tishomingo; stepgrandchildren Blaze Brown, LeAnna Alley, Anthony Alley and David Alley; nieces and nephews, Andy Deaton (Kendra), Amy Middleton and Matthew Puckett (Emily); and great-nieces and great-nephews, Collin Middleton, Darby Deaton, Jacey Deaton and Langston Puckett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Royal Desmond ""R.D."" Deaton and Iona McAnally Deaton; an uncle, Colas Deaton; and an aunt, Reba Vandiver.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Martin, David Luttrell, Daniel Henry, Andrew Jackson, Jeff Gentles and Gary Sparks. Honorary pallbearers will be Carlton Brown and Kenneth McVay.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at Paden Baptist Church and until service time on Wednesday.
