SALTILLO – James C. ""Peanut"" Warren, 72, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Nov. 11, 1941, to Lawrence Alvis and Frances Warren. He attended Shannon High School. He loved mechanical and electrical work and worked at Leggett & Platt for more than 18 years in maintenance. He loved to meet his friends at his special coffee drinking place, fishing and his family.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Billy Wayne Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Shannon.
Survivors include his son, Justin Kyle of Saltillo; his sister, Betty Oswalt of Pleasant Grove community in Shannon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alvis Warren; and two sisters, Sara Kathleen Holcomb and Jean Osborne.
Pallbearers will be Michael Kyle, Joseph Howard, Bob Oswalt, Terry Shirley, Billy Parchman and Scott Cummings.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
