BANNER – James Clinton Wilson, 66, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at his residence. He was born Sept. 12, 1947, in Banner. He was a member of Mt. Comfort Baptist Church, employed as a sales clerk at Sneed's Hardware in Oxford and retired from the University of Mississippi in the property control department. His hobbies were gardening and listening to Blue Grass music.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Mt. Comfort Baptist Church with Bro. J.R. Eaton officiating. Interment will be in Banner Cemetery. Parker Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Wilson of Banner; two sons, James C. Wilson Jr. and wife, Melissa of Independence and Robert Owen Wilson of Banner; one sister, Opal Newman of Paris; and two brothers, Gene Wilson of Tula and Roy C. Wilson of Nesbitt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Mary Christine Newman Wilson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
