WALNUT – Minnie Gertrude Howell Vincent, 87, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley. She was born May 20, 1926, to John and Hattie Pipkin Howell. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Unity Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Barefield officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery. Ripley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by five sons, Lewis E. Vincent (Judy) of Bolivar, Tenn., David W. Vincent (Beverly) of Jackson, Tenn., Rex A. Vincent (Jeanne) of Ripley, Roger F. Vincent (Carolyn) of Jackson, Tenn. and Clark A. Vincent of Humbolt, Tenn.; one daughter, Donna Vincent of Pocahontas, Tenn.; one sister, Shrilda Hawkin Stamey of Middleton, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kevin, Robert and Clark Vincent Jr., Nick and Anthony Lehmann and Lee Thornton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ledford Franklin Vincent; one son, Mark Vincent; seven brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
