NETTLETON – Michael Eric Guess, 40, died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center as the result of a automobile accident. He was born on June 8, 1973, in Aurora, Ill., to Larry Thomas and Sara Lee Johnson Guess. He was a native of Aurora, Ill., but had lived in the Nettleton area most of his life. He was a caregiver for Ability Works, a 1991 graduate of Nettleton High School, and a member of South Nettleton Baptist Church. He enjoyed going fishing, playing video games, listening to music and spending time with his son.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today, March 11, at the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with the Rev. Bryan Burge officiating. Burial will be in the Nettleton Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents; one son, Christopher Ray Guess of the home; one brother, Christopher Thomas Guess (Beth) of Nettleton; one stepson, Tyler Joe Sisk (Kayla) of Shannon; one stepdaughter, Chelsea Michelle Bishop of Pontotoc; several uncles, aunts, nieces and cousins; and a special friend, James Jenkins of Verona.
He was preceded in death by one son, Weaver Guess.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Carter, Tim Kizzire, Tyler Guyton, Andrew Guyton, Chad Guess and Tommy Leach. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Nicholson and Bucky Mason.
Memorial donations may be made to help pay for funeral expenses to Larry Guess, 124 Tapscott Ave., Nettleton, MS 38858.
Visitation will be from noon until time for services today at the funeral home.
