ABERDEEN – Grace Jane Davis Scott passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Aberdeen Care Center. She was born June 26, 1930, to Marvin and Laura Bell Davis. She was married for 56 years to the love of her life, Edwin Scott, until his passing in 2005. She lived most of her life in Monroe County and graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1948. She worked at Allied Chemical in Prairie, Dr. Parker and Dr. B.O. Moore in Amory. She finished her working career at Scott and Sons along with her husband, Ed, and two sons, Bob and Mitch Scott, until she and her husband retired in 1995. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aberdeen.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert Scott (Sally) and Mitch Scott (Jim Anne); three grandchildren, LeLe Newell, Stephanie Thompson (Robert) and Janna Montgomery (Jeff); five great-grandchildren, Hunter Sanders, Scotty Waits, Luke Montgomery, Karsen Sanders and Grace Montgomery; and two sisters, Mamie Renfro and Sandra Gallop.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Scott; her mother, Laura Bell; her father, Marvin Davis; and a sister, Lois Johnson.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today, March 13, at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen, followed by graveside services at Oddfellows Cemetery.
