ABERDEEN – Helen Norwood Boatright, 85, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at the Green Houses at Cedars in Tupelo. She was born Sept. 3, 1928, to Shuford Norwood and Estelle Tidwell Norwood in Batesville. She lived in Aberdeen since 1959. She was a graduate of Batesville High School. She retired as a seamstress from TIL and she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark Methodist Church in Aberdeen.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, at Forest Memorial Cemetery in Batesville with the Rev. Van Moore officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen will be in charge of the services.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice Stokes and husband, Jerry, of Pace, Fla.; one son, Larry Boatright and wife, Hannah, of Pontotoc; one sister, Bonnie Thornton of Batesville; four grandchildren, Brad Boatright, Toby Boatright, Stan Jackson and Douglas Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Wesley Boatright and Alayna Jackson; three stepgrandchildren, Donnie Stokes, Lori Elder and Connie Stokes; and three stepgreat-grandchildren, Corey Stokes, Aston Jernigan and Devin Austin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward C. Boatright; and one brother, Bobby Norwood.
Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Sunday at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
