1918 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
TUPELO – Mai Faucette, 95, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at her residence. She was born Dec. 20, 1918, to Thomas Leon and Mai Harris Pace. A graduate of Canton High School, she then went on to the University of Southern Mississippi, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in home economics. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tupelo.
Survivors include her three children, Bob Faucette and wife, Cindy, Sarah Mattox and Rick Faucette, all of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Chris Mattox and wife, Teri, of Nettleton, Kirby and Harris Faucette of Tupelo, and Mary Frances Faucette of Oxford; one great-grandchild, Sawyer Mattox of Nettleton; one sister, Tomie Gibson of Madison; and her caregivers, Brenda Scott, Cynthia Northington, Betty Singleton, Joyce Rowe and Gail McKinney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kirby P. Faucette; and two sisters, Lou Wells and Dot Pace.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today, March 27, in McFadden Hall of First Presbyterian Church. There will be a private graveside service for family. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
