BOONEVILLE – Joseph ""Joe"" Eugene Brackeen, 89, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth. He was born Dec. 18, 1924, to Josiah and Elizabeth Brackeen. He was a truck driver and a member of First Apostolic Church of Jumpertown.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at McMillan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Liberty Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by six sons, Loyde Wayne (Billie) Brackeen of Springfield, Tenn., Jessie (Judy) Dean of Wilcox, Ariz., Matthew Dean of Baldwyn, Jerry Bowen of Arkansas, Bobby Bowen of Memphis and Dale Bowen of Arkansas; four daughters, Paulette (David) Pippin of Tupelo, Caroline Stricklin of Marietta, Reba Spreitzer of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Margaret (Lenox) Coltharp of Myrtle; two sisters, Irene White of Thrasher and Ethel Gargus of Booneville; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and seven brothers.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at McMillan Funeral Home and until service time on Sunday.
