RIPLEY – N.C. Scott Wade, 93, died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Ripley. She was born April 23, 1920, in Tiplersville to Ben Scott and Lizzie Braddock Scott.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at St. James COGIC in Ripley. Supt. Bernell Hoyle will officiate. Burial will be in Saints Rest Cemetery. Foster & Son Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her children, Ali (Linda) Salaam of Nashville, Bettie (A.G.) Spight of Battle Creek, Mich., Richard (Ann) Wade of Corinth, James Wade of Pasadena, Calif., Nannie Rogers of Nashville, Hazel Mayes of Corinth and Mary (James) Yancy of Corinth; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elder Richard E. Wade; a son, William ""Wip"" Wade; three sisters, Maggie Braddock, Fannie Jeanes and Lula Rogers; two brothers, Ike Braddock and Lacey Dee Cee Scott; three grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Mattie Wade.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today with the family hours from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in repose at the church one hour before services.
