BOONEVILLE – Melvia ""Totsie"" Tigrett, 82, died Monday, April 7, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Sept. 24, 1931, to James Washington Colson and Lillie Hurt Colson. She was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church, and she worked for Prentiss Manufacturing Company.

Services were Wednesday, April 9, at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. W.C. Alexander and Bro. Danny Rowland officiating. Burial was in Crossroads Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Colson of Booneville; a sister, Lola Wayne Crawford; and six nieces, Nita Crowell of Tupelo, Judy (Perry) Witt of New Albany, Johnnie Stacy of Jumpertown, Charlotte Crawford of Baton Rouge, La., Martha (Randy) Stephens of Booneville and Sammie Kay Crawford of Jumpertown.
She was preceded in death by, her husband, William ""Billy"" Tigrett; her parents; and a brother, James ""Jr."" Colson.
Pallbearers were Dalton Crowell, Cole Owen, Jason Graham, David Stacy, Johnny Gale Parks, Randy Stephens and Cody Stephens.
