TUPELO – Romero ""Herb"" Hampton passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, as the result of a house fire at his home. He graduated from Tupelo High School with the Class of 1991. He attended truck driving school and began working for Maine Food and Paper Service of Arlington, Tenn. He enjoyed life to the fullest and always looked out for friends.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at New Providence M.B. Church with Pastor Elton Kemp officiating. Burial will be in the Porter's Memorial Park. Grayson-Porter's Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Romanda Hampton, and her children, Porsha, Sharnell, Asha and Shun; his mother, Billie Ruth Hampton; one brother, Tyson (Netasha) Funches; a nephew, DeShun Funches; one aunt, Priscilla (Eddie) Prather; and two godchildren, Reece and Reylin Bell, all of Tupelo.
The body will lie in repose from 4 until 6 p.m. today at J.W. Porter's Chapel and will be placed in the church one hour prior to service on Saturday.
