PONTOTOC – Bertha Jean Lipsey Keys, 58, died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A native of Pontotoc County, she was the daughter of Wardell Lipsey and Lovie Townsend Lipsey. She was a member of Springville Chapel M.B. Church, where she served as an usher. She loved playing games and watching television. She was the widow of Thomas Keys.

Celebration of life service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Springville Chapel M.B. Church. The Rev. Jimmy Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in Pontotoc City Cemetery. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by three sons, Corey Lipsey of Tupelo, Joseph Lipsey of Pontotoc and Thomas Kenyanna Keys of Oceanside, Calif.; one sister, Maxine Lipsey of Pontotoc; one brother, Walter Gene Lipsey of Oxford; one grandson, Kyle Lipsey of Tupelo; and one sister-in-law, Margaret Lipsey of Pontotoc.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. with family hour from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
