GUNTOWN – Martha Jane Gibson Robinson, 68, died at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo on Monday, May 26, 2014, after an extended illness. She was born Jan. 18, 1946, in Jugfork community in Union county, but lived in Guntown the rest of her life. She was a sewing machine operator for various companies in and around Lee and Itawamba counties. She was a member of Liberty Pentecostal Church in Centerville.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, May 28, at 2 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn with Bro. David Hendrix officiating. Burial will be in Ingram cemetery.
Survivors include one brother, Walter Lee Gibson (Trula) of Guntown; two daughters, Sue Mallette (Thomas) and Marie Brazeal (Wayne), all of Unity; one son, Jim Robinson (Melinda) of Unity; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four nieces; two nephews; and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Robinson; parents, William and Edna Floyd Gibson; grandson, Stan-Lee Robinson; and one great-nephew, Cory Hill.
Pallbearers will be Steven Robinson, Joshua Mallette, Justin Mallette, Russell Cox, William Gibson and Bryant Gibson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Herring and Charles ""Chuck"" Presley.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
