EGGVILLE – Frances Marilyn Mitchell, 82, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Lee County on Oct. 3, 1931, to Marlow Thomas and Virgie Stokes Christian. On Nov. 10, 1951, she married the love of her life, J. E. ""Bill"" Mitchell and together began building a lifetime of memories. For many years she worked as a waitress at Rex Plaza and later worked in sales for Dreyfus Jewelry. She loved flowers and working in her yard, cooking for her family, reading and watching old movies. Keeping a beautiful immaculate home was something she took great pride in doing. She was a true Southern Steel Magnolia and a lady of great family value, who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, granddaughter and great-grandchildren. A special time of enjoyment was going to town with her granddaughter and spending the day shopping. She was a member of Eggville Free Will Baptist Church.
