1932 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
TUPELO – Bobbie Jean Schumpert, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, July 18, 2014, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born September 5, 1932, to William Henry and Ivy McCormick Conwill. She graduated from Nettleton High School in 1950. After graduation, she worked as a seamtress at several garment factories, including Lucky Stars in Tupelo, and later as a sales associate at a variety of department stores. She was an active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and sewing.
A celebration of life will be 1:30 p.m. today, July 20, 2014, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Scott Schumpert and Rev. Don McCain officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Clifton Schumpert of Tupelo; two daughters, Cynthia Dew (Jerome) of Ovett and Debbie Stanford (Ken) of Tupelo; one son, Scott Schumpert (Celisa) of Prattville, Ala.; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Curry of Nettleton and Willene Cyre of Los Angela, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Marsha Lynn Stanford; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Carrisoza; and two brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Scott Kendrick, Myles Kendrick, Mason Kendrick, Ryan Ivey, Reagan Ivey, Micah Carrisoza, Drew Carrisoza and Cody Rodgers.
