Howard L. Wallis, 79, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at his residence. He was a member of Furrs Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher Director, Training Union Director and Teacher. He was retired from Daybrite Lighting and the Grocery Business Store business. He worked as a volunteer for the East Pontotoc Water Association for over 20 years. He also served in the United States Army with the Pin-Tomic Division attached to Washington. He was a 32 Degree Mason, Shriner and Civitan member.

Survivors include: wife: Eddie Curry Wallis, Three Daughters: Jan Leach (Eddie), Jane Thomas, and Jean Harlow. Six Grandchildren: Ginger Beghtol (Jason), Jennifer Blankenship (Rob), Carrey Glidwell (Jeremy), Mandy McComb (Andrew), Lewis Leach (Robin), Joseph Mixon (Glenda) and Ten Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Ernie Wallis, and one sister: Bettie Hollis.
Family will receive friends from 3:00pm until 7:00pm on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc.
