Bro. Charlie K. Swords, 75, of Ecru, passed away July 25, 2014, at his home. He was a factory worker and construction worker. He was a pastor for 47 years and a loving husband and father. He touched the lives of many people.

Service will be at 11:00am Monday July 28, 2014 at Buchanan Baptist Church. Bro. David Westmoreland and Bro. Lee Graham will be officiating. Burial will be in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors: wife of 55 years-Bonnie F. Swords of Ecru; 4-daughters-Brenda Dowdy (Richard) of Ecru, Margaret "Punkin" Blackard (Ricky) of New Albany, Lisa McDonald (Mack) of Myrtle and Stacy Mahan (Ruben Albineda) of Ecru; 2-sons-James "Dugan" Swords of Algoma and Charlie Wayne Swords (Joyce) of Pontotoc; 12-grandchildren; 15-great-grandchildren; sister-Margaret Mayo (Jerry) of Hurricane; brother-Kenneth Swords (Vivian) of Kentucky; half-brother-Dean Merritt (Beatrice) of Pontotoc.
Preceded in death by: parents-C.N. and Letiabell Swords; 2-brothers-James "Hub" Swords and Sherman "Joe" Swords; half-brother-Jack Merritt.
Pallbearers: Ryan Thompson, Mark Mayo, Josh Swords, Joey Swords, Keith Mahan, Jonathan Mahan and Johnny Burchfield.
visitation: 4pm-8pm July 27, 2014 and 10am-11am July 28, 2014; all at the church.
