RATLIFF – Horace Cooper, 88, died Thursday, August 7, 2014, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was a farmer. He loved to play dominoes, and he socialized with everyone. He was a Baptist, and he loved the Lord and his family. He was a United States Navy veteran.

Private family services were held at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Moore and Bro. Eddie Boutwell officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery.
He is survived by two children, Jerry Cooper (Gaye) of Mantachie and Jan Boutwell (Eddie) of Mantachie; grandchildren, Nikki Cooper (Tina) of Mantachie, Bonnie Cooper of Mantachie, Carrie Wigginton (Jason) of Mantachie, Amy Johnson (Chris) of Mantachie and Christy Boutwell of Mantachie; great-grandchildren, Callie Frederick (Bradley), Will Reynolds, Ethan Cooper (Monica), Sara Paige Cooper, Cory Scribner, Bailey Johnson, Belle Cooper, Megan England (Drew), Abby Boutwell, Ayden Boutwell, Ava Poynor, Hunter Wigginton and Trenton Wigginton; great-great-grandchildren, Chloe England, Maclynn Frederick and Josie Frederick; sister, Delsia Prather of Baldwyn; twin brother, Harliss Cooper of St. Louis, Mo.; and a host of nieces and nephews who he loved dearly,
Pallbearers will be Nikki Cooper, Ethan Cooper, Will Reynolds, Paul Jackson, Jason Wigginton, Cory Scribner and Bradley Frederick.
He was preceded in death by his wonderful wife, Corrine Coggins Cooper; parents, Oliver and Savannah Cooper; brothers, Neal, Bilbo, Earl, Clint, R.C., William, Monroe and Luther; sisters, Hazel Wilson, Ethel Miles and Ruby Hall.
