Ruby Westcott

1930 - 2014

FULTON – Ruby Ivy Westcott, 84, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014, at Santuary Hospice House with her three children by her side. She was born in Dennis on April 19, 1930, to the late George Ivy and the late Leona Guntharp Ivy. She retired from Charm Step after many years of service. She was a member of Plainview Church of Christ. She was raised on a cotton farm and one of her greatest joys was to be out in the garden.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014, at Senter Funeral Home with Minister Tom House officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 29, at Senter Funeral Home.
Survivors include her son, Danny (Rita) Taylor of Olive Branch; daughters, Pat Mongan of Saint Charles, Iowa, and Deonne Williams of Fulton; grandsons, Donny (Tina) Taylor of Louisiana, Jimmy Taylor of Wyoming, Clint (Kelly) Mongan of AIowa; , Josh (Sarah) Mongan of Iowa, B.J. Wiles of Mississippi; granddaughters, Michelle (Darrin) Miller of Louisiana, Tammy Strickland of Georgia, Amanda (Terry) Case of Mississippi and Cristie Williams of Mississippi; 24 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Maynard (Pat) Ivy, Shelby (Wilda) Ivy and Harold (Carolyn) Ivy, all of Fulton; several nieces and nephews; and two beloved dogs, Trixie and Angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, John ""Rocky"" Westcott; sisters, Allie Brown and Essie Mae Gahagan; brothers, Truman, Tulon, Chester, Clayton and Gordon Ivy; son-in-law, Michael Mongan
Pallbearers will be Clint Mongan, Josh Mongan, B.J. Wiles, Lane Simmons, Hugh Ivy and Jack Ivy.
