Jimmy Billups Obituary

BALDWYN – Jimmy L. Billips, 69, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at NMMC in Tupelo. He was born May 17, 1946, to William and Quillar Marie Billips. He was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Baldwyn. He served 21 years in 198th Amour National Guard, worked 20 years at Day-Brite Inc. and three years with the MDOT. He was a bus driver with the Baldwyn Public School District.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Mt. Olive M.B. Church with the Rev. Wayne Myles officiating. Agnew & Sons Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Cressy Billips; stepmother, Allene Billips; daughter, Cassandra Ruff (Rev.Gary); sons, William Billips (Franda) and Chad Billips (Angela); sisters, Nellie Jo Billips and Olivia Billips-Williams (Ron); brothers, Leamon Billips (Lucy), Jonathan Billips and Joseph Billips (Norma); stepsisters, Peggy Skinner, Bessie Lowe, Lorene Friar (John), Alice Starks, Bobbie Williamson (Rev. Mark) and Stacy Ivy (John ); special friend and cousin, Milton Billips; 18 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and family hour 5 to 6 p.m. today.
