Bill Deas Obituary

Mr. William Rivers "Bill" Deas, 76, died Monday, June 12, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House following an extended illness. He was born October 29, 1940 in Washington D.C. He married his wife, Linda Bowles Davis on January 21, 1994 and has lived in the Shannon area for the past twenty-four years.

Bill loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Brewer Methodist Church. He adored his family, enjoyed fishing, golf, playing cards, and sports of all types, especially attending Shannon Red Raiders football games.

A memorial service honoring Bill will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Brewer Methodist Church with Rev. Chad Bowen officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday only. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to assist the family with arrangements. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Linda Deas of Shannon; three children, William Rivers "Butch" Deas, Jr. of N.C., Stacy Stewart (Jason) of Salem, AL, and Brandon Davis (Christy) of Maumelle, AK; mother-in-law, Helga Bowles of Shannon and father-in-law, Carl Bowles of West Point; 4 grandchildren, Daphne Stewart, Miranda Stewart, Austin Stewart, and John Bowles Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
