Hugh Edmond Thomas

Hugh Edmond Thomas, passed away at his residence on February 9, 2013. He was a native of Toledo, OH, but has lived in Christiana for sixty-five years. He was a member of the Baptist Faith, worked as a journeyman wireman, a member of IBEW local 429 and also a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Hugh served in the Unites States Army from 1966-1968 during the Vietnam Conflict and was an avid coon hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Youree Hugh Thomas and Minnie Bell Thomas Roberson; son, Anthony Hugh Thomas.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann Bevis Thomas; daughters, Brandi Thomas of Christiana and Stephanie Thomas Flatt (Rev. Gavin Flatt) of Lawrenceburg, TN; sisters, Robbie Lovvorn of Donelson, TN and Zeta Christine Jones of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Phillip Smith, Justin Smith, Dustie Smith, Candice and Carleigh Flatt; four great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be from 12-2 on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2013 at Jennings and Ayers with Rev. Gavin Flatt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lawrence County Baptist Church, 1703 Liberty Avenue, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464.
