Mariloyce Oliver

Mariloyce Oliver, age 71 of Nashville, TN, after battling with cancer over seven times in the past 20 years, finally succumbs to her illness on January 8, 2013.

She was a native of Reeves, TN.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy; son-in-law, David; granddaughters, Taylor and Chase Henry, all of Knoxville, TN; her son, James E. Oliver, Jr. of San Mateo, CA and her fiancé, Lamar Hale of Murfreesboro, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James E. Oliver, Sr. (Major Retired USAF).

She was a very active member of Donelson Church of Christ; Hospitality Chairman of the Stones River Woman's Club; for more than ten years, she was the Auxiliary Chaplain for American Legion Unit 88, and was the Auxiliary Chaplain for Department of Tennessee 2004/2005. Mariloyce was a very active member of the Red Hats Society, an avid supporter of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

She loved life, loved to dance, and touched so many people. If you weren't laughing when you met her, you soon would be.

A Celebration of Mariloyce's life will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 3 p.m., at Donelson Church of Christ, 2706 Old Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37214 with visitation from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
