Ruth Stacey Hackney

Ruth Stacey Hackney, age 79, passed away April 21, 2014 at her residence. She was a native of Coffee County, but lived most of her life in Rutherford County. Ruth was a member of Emmanuel Church of Christ.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Minerva Stacey; and husband, Edward (Junior) Hackney.

She is survived by her son, Johnny (Tammy) Hackney and Charles Eaton; daughters, Patricia (Michael) McPeak and Brenda Stacey; sisters, Cleo Todd of Stewart, TN and Marie Farless of Beechgrove; grandchildren; Chris McPeak, Ronnie McPeak, Donnie McPeak, Jason Joyce, Justin Stacey, Brittany Hackney, Brandy Hackney, Chris Davis, David Davis, Joe Davis; and seven great-grandchildren.

Chapel service will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Jennings and Ayers. Bro. Charles Eaton will officiate with grandsons and nephews serving as active Pallbearers. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home; 820 South Church St., Murfreesboro, TN 37130; (615) 893-2422. Please leave condolences at www.jenningsandayers.com.
