Billy Glenn Alexander, Lt. Col. Retired USAF, died Friday, January 27, 2012. He was a native of Athens, AL and son of the late William L. and Velma Alexander.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ken Polk will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Elease Wyatt Alexander; son, Michael G. Alexander and his wife Mary of Carrollton, VA; daughters, Jan Wiser and her husband Max of Murfreesboro, and Teri Vannatta and her husband Tracy of Deason; 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Wynell Kelley Alexander who died in 1995; three brothers, Clement, Judson, and Artemus Alexander; sisters, Ruth Jones, and Irma Springer.
Lt. Colonel Alexander was a pilot in the USAF and retired following 20 years of service. He later retired as plant manager of Perfect Equipment Company. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
