James Benjamin Parker

James Benjamin Parker, age 70 of Murfreesboro, passed away on January 3, 2013 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County and was a truck driver for International Paper.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Dollis and Suree Garvin Parker.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce E. Roper Parker; sons, Terry Parker of Woodbury and Timothy Parker of Murfreesboro; daughters, Emily Rich of Murfreesboro, Rhonda Sampson of Woodbury and Renee Hoover of Woodbury; brother, Benton Parker of Woodbury; sisters, Willie Mae Ingle and Patricia Reed, both of Murfreesboro; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Chapel service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Herb Alsup officiating. Burial will follow at Milton Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home, 820 South Church St., Murfreesboro, TN 37130; (615) 893-2422. Please leave condolences at
