Novella Duke

Novella "Lil Wolfie" Duke, age 45 of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday.

She was a native of Nashville, Tennessee and a daughter of Brenda Raines Duke and the late Hanson Duke, Sr. She was a United Sates Coast Guard Veteran, a talented painter, and a lover of Persian cats. Her physical limitations never affected her positive attitude, and she was an inspiration to everyone she met.

Survivors include her mother, Brenda Duke of Rockvale; a sister, Carmella Duke of Murfreesboro; a brother, Hanson Duke, Jr. of Bradyville, and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday from 3 until 7 p.m., at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Ron Bevels officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilley Hill Cemetery in Cannon County.
