Mrs. Opal Elizabeth Ogles
Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Elizabeth Ogles, age 92 of Beechgrove, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, July 19th at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel, with Tom Brantley and Phillip Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Serving as Pallbearers will be Matthew, Spencer, Mike and Jeff Pinkston, Paul Morton, Nathan Smith, Kevin Ogles, Kurk Stevens and Bubba Ashworth. Visitation with the Ogles family will be from 12 Noon until service time Friday at Manchester Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ogles passed away Monday morning following a brief illness.
Mrs. Ogles was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late Milton and Lilly Gilley Lewis. She was the owner and operator of the Chatter Box Café and also Ogles Café in Manchester for many years. Mrs. Ogles was a member of the First Baptist Church of Beechgrove.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Ogles, who died in 1991; and by seven siblings, Herbert, Emmitt, Jess, Horace, Ralph, Cassie and Hessie.
Mrs. Ogles is survived by: two sons, Buddy Ogles of Beechgrove, Mike (Eileen) Ogles of Knoxville; one daughter, Linda (Tom) Pinkston Boyce of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Tammy Ogles (Paul Morton), Kevin Ogles, Tara Ogles and her fiancé Kurk Stevens, Malene (Nathan) Smith, Jeff (Michele) Pinkston, Michael (Shelly) Pinkston and Penny (Kent) Holt; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Lindsey, Matthew and Sarah Pinkston, Will, Allie and Bryson Holt.
