Allen Watts

Allen Watts, age 86 of Murfreesboro died February 18, 2014. Mr. Watts was a native of Murfreesboro and son of the late, Arthur M. and Annie Puckett Watts. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Nisbett Watts.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Eugene Cotey and Pam Pilote will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Watts is survived by his daughters, Sandra Pineault and husband Tony of Murfreesboro, Laura Watts of Rolla, MO., Joan Howell and husband Randy of Murfreesboro; his son, Roy Watts and wife Laurie of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jade and Jacob Watts, 1st LT Ryan Howell and his wife Nova Jude, Hannah Howell Johnson and husband Benjamin, Molly Howell; Leah Pineault Bunnell and husband Benjamin, Marty Pineault; twin great-grandsons, Edwin and Rory Bunnell.

Mr. Watts was a 1948 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and received his BS Degree in 1960 from MTSU. He was a member and former deacon of First Baptist Church and was employed at Samsonite for over 30 years. He was a charter member of Murfreesboro Noon Exchange Club and severed as their first President. Mr. Watts was a member of Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge #18. He was member and former chairman of the Rutherford County School Board and a member and avid supporter of the Blue Raider Athletic Association for over 30 years.

Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel 615-893-5151
