Betty J. Morton

Betty J. Morton, age 80 of Smyrna, TN, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014.

A native of Cohutta, GA, she was preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt and Lucille McNabb Hamilton; her first husband, William T. Morton; her son, William "Mike" Morton; and ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m., at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Dr. Lenny Farmer will officiate. A graveside service will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville at 1 p.m.

Mrs. Morton is survived by her husband, Fred Koch; daughter, Barbara Jean Hatfield and her husband Keith of Smyrna; and two sisters, Patsy Weber and Ann Blevins, both of Cohutta, GA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Morton was a member of Life Point Church in Smyrna. She loved to laugh and was an avid bargain shopper.
