Charles "Chuck" May

Chuck May, age 75 of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

He was a native of Pike County, KY and one of sixteen children born to the late William Jefferson and Lenora May.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Rosalee May; a son, Nick May of Murfreesboro; daughters, June Grubb of Grayson, KY, Cynthia May and Lisa Bailey, both of Murfreesboro; grandsons, Earl May, Thomas John Bowen, and Wyatt Bailey; a granddaughter, Matalyn Bailey; brothers, Willis May of Tampa, FL and Mayo May of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Dolly Zappolo of Allen, TX and Sadie Estep of Self, KY.

Mr. May was a United States Marine Corps veteran and served during the Korean War. He also had worked at First United Methodist Church, Murfreesboro.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. until the time of Memorial services with military honors beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
