Charlotte Ann Pope

Charlotte Ann Pope, age 71, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and lived in Murfreesboro for the past 33 years. After surviving polio, Charlotte went on to marry her high school sweetheart, John Howard Pope. She enjoyed children, reading, baking and had a vivacious sense of humor.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest David Cooper and Mary Margaret Cooper.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, John Howard Pope of Murfreesboro; sons, John Phillip Pope of LaVergne, Frederick Joseph (Roxanne) Pope of LaVergne; daughters, Mary Catherine (Jimmy) Pope of Smyrna, Deborah Ann (John) King of Murfreesboro; brother, Henry Cooper of California; sisters, Jeanne Griffin of Beech Grove, TN and Mary Carlesimo of Michigan; grandchildren, Samantha Ann (Jacob) Carter, Charles Joseph Pope, Christopher Lee Pope, Kaida Marie Pope, Adlin Morgan Pope; great grandchildren, Aria Ann Carter and Cayden Joseph McNeese.

The funeral service for Charlotte will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at St. Rose Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Jennings & Ayers, 820 South Church St., Murfreesboro, TN 37130, (615) 893-2422
