James E. Bond

James E. Bond, age 88, passed away at Rutherford County Community Care Saturday, August 23, 2014.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. He was the owner and operator of Murfreesboro Auto Machine and Radiator shop and was a member of the Church of Christ.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Mattie Bond; son, James Edward "Jimmy" Bond Jr.; brothers, Clinton, Harry and Harvey Bell Bond; sisters, Mildred Baltimore and Mary McElroy.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Mae Bond; son, James "Bobby" R. (Stephanie) Bond of Murfreesboro; daughters, Elaine JuLee Evans of Murfreesboro, Janet Marie Bishop of Albequerqe, NM, and Brenda Faye (Troy) Hill of Murfreesboro; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The service for James will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Bro. Darryl Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Crescent Church of Christ memorial scholarship fund.
