Edna Earl Edwards Comer, age 87 of Mt. Juliet, TN, died Thursday, April 12, 2012.
Born in the Fellowship Community in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Hiram Epps and Earlene McPeak Edwards. Mrs. Comer was also preceded in death by her husband, Ed Comer, who died in 1978, and her twin sisters, Pauline and Lorene Edwards, and Juanita Edwards Burleson Johnson, and a brother, Thomas Edwards.
Mrs. Comer is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edd "Ceaman" Comer and his wife Judy of Smyrna, TN; daughters and son-in-law, Adona Gossett of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Gaylan Shine and her husband Danny of Smyrna, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hiram Edwards, Jr., Will Davis Edward, Bennie Edwards and his wife Mai, Cecil Edwards and his wife Ernestine, all of Mt. Juliet, TN and Leon Edwards and his wife Faye of Pegram, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria Swanner and her husband Bob, Gay Humfield, Bobbie Nabors and her husband Charles, all of Mt. Juliet, TN; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Smyrna, with Rev. Milton Hicks and Rev. Leon Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Lannom Cemetery on Maddux Road. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
Mrs. Comer was a member of Living Springs Baptist church and retired from Swann Drugs.
