Fred Willard Basham

Fred Willard Basham, age 90 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Tuesday April 16, 2013.

A native of Cannon County, he was the son of the Roy Adam Basham and Nora Rebecca Parker Basham McCrary. Mr. Basham was also preceded in death by a brother, Norman Basham.

Mr. Basham is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lois Lewis Basham; daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Mitchell Fulks of Murfreesboro, TN, Nancy and Marc Welch of Marietta, GA; granddaughter, JaeLynn Fulks of Savannah, GA; sister, Linda Brown of Lascassas, TN; two step-granddaughters; one step-grandson; nine step- great-grandchildren, and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Brother Charles Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.

Mr. Basham was a member of Kingwood Heights Church of Christ and was retired from the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center. He was also a US Army veteran having served in World War Two.

Visitation with the family will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, (615) 893-5151. Online condolences may be made at www.woodfinchapel.com
