Austin, Judith - Bucklin  
BUCKLIN - Judith "Judy" Ann Austin, 79, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 peacefully at her home in Bucklin. She was born October 2, 1936 to Fred and Alma Russell. On October 16, 1955 she married Roy B. Austin in Dodge City. He survives. She worked most of her life at the Bucklin Coop and Bucklin Grain. After retirement, she volunteered by delivering the mail to the residents at Hill Top House. She often spent afternoons volunteering at the Hill Top House Budget Shop. She always enjoyed looking after her older friends in town. She is survived by her husband, Roy; 2 sons, Robert and Roger both of Bucklin; her sister, Jane Naylor and husband Russ of Newton; her sister-in-law, Ruby Russell of Newton; and 3 granddaughters, Courtney, Charmayne and Bretta. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Charles and her daughter, Vicki. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Bucklin United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Bucklin Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Minnis Mortuary, Bucklin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Hill Top House or the Hill Top House Budget Shop both in care of Minnis Mortuary, P.O. Box 516, Bucklin, Kansas 67834. Droste, Chester - Spearville  
SPEARVILLE – Chester Bernard Droste, 79, died Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his home. He was born March 26, 1937 at Spearville, the son of Edward and Mary (Bieberly) Droste. A lifetime Spearville resident, he was a Salesman for CrustBuster/Speed King in Spearville. Chester was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus both of Spearville and the Moose Lodge in Dodge City. On September 7, 1957 he married Sharon Shean at Spearville. Survivors include: his wife, Sharon, Spearville; 4 sons, Dale Droste and wife Patricia, Waxahachie, Texas, Marvin Droste and wife Tracy, Arvada, Colorado, Tom Droste and wife Allis, Heath, Texas, John Droste and wife Jennifer, Spearville; daughter, Donna Roetzer and husband Steve, Minneola; 2 brothers, Ben Droste, Lawrence, Kansas and his twin brother Lester Droste, Wichita, Kansas; sister Karen Matthews, Lawrence, Kansas; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald and a sister Betty Mae McCall. Vigil service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday April 26, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Spearville. Funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the Church, with Fr. John Forkuoh officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Johns Cemetery, Spearville. The family suggests memorials to the St. Johns Building Fund in care of Minnis Mortuary, P.O. Goddard, Reed - Dodge City  
Reed Anthony Goddard, 57, passed away on April 7, 2016, in his home in Wichita after a long battle with MS. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 10:30 am, Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Daily Chapel), 3231 N. 14th Ave, Dodge City. Reed was born to Raymond J. and Roberta M. Goddard in Dodge City. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond Marc Goddard; Reed is survived by his daughter, Brandi Kemp, Las Vegas, NV; siblings, Lance Goddard, Las Vegas, NV, Shane Goddard, Wichita, KS, Kelly Goddard, Wichita, KS, Tracy (Pam) Goddard, Albuquerque, NM, Erin Winfrey, Wichita, KS. Larman, Joyce - Dodge City  
Dodge City - Joyce E. Larman, 77, died April 26, 2016 at Good Samaritan Society of Dodge City. She was born on March 9, 1939 at Pueblo, Colorado the daughter of Roy and Lola (Lamb) Swartz. Joyce grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and attended schools there. On April 18, 1959 she married Maurice Larman and they recently celebrated their 57th anniversary. They have been residents of Dodge City since March of 1981. She worked for the Dodge City school district and later for Ft. Dodge in the food service program. Joyce enjoyed bowling, and especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She was a member of Howard Gotschall Post #1714, V.F.W. Women's Auxilary and the Dodge City Women's Bowling Association both of Dodge City. Joyce is survived by three sons, Don and wife Renee Larman, Bobby Larman and Ken Larman, all of Dodge City; two daughters, Charleen Gonzales and husband Jerry Foskuhl, Dodge City, and Debbie Nuci and husband John of Gridley, Kansas a brother Richard Swartz, Arizona and a sister, Linda Wroten, Pueblo, Colorado; a an adoptive brother, Donny Clare, Dodge City, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dale Swartz a sister Carol Dace and two great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in Ft. Dodge. Memorials are suggested to Multiple Sclerosis or to Muscular Dystrophy both in care of the funeral home. McCall, Carolyn - Cimarron  
CIMARRON – Carolyn Ann Roseberry McCall passed quietly in Friendship, Wisconsin on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the age of 64. She was born on October 6, 1951 in Dodge City, Kansas to James and Helen (Davidson) Roseberry of Cimarron. She graduated from Cimarron High school in Cimarron in 1970 and later went to Job Corp in Excelsior Spring, Missouri, becoming a Physical therapy assistant. She had worked at Cimarron Manor in Cimarron and Trinity Hospital in Dodge City. She married Ken Miller of Dodge City and they had a daughter, Victoria (Tori) and they divorced. She later moved to Wisconsin and was married to Edward McCall by proxy in Leavenworth, Kansas while he was stationed in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. After he returned, they were married in the St. Joseph Catholic church in Friendship, Wisconsin. During that marriage, a son, James Edward (Jamie) was born. Carolyn was an avid softball player. She played with various women's teams around Dodge City and had taught her little sister how to be the best in that sport. Carolyn leaves behind her son, James of Jackman, Maine and daughter, Tori La Chapelle of Colorado Springs, Colorado and her four grandsons, Hunter, Trevor, Toby and Tanner. Sister's, Virginia Smith of Lamar, Colorado and Midge Holsten and husband Max, of Ensign, Kansas. Also, many nieces and nephews and her special friends in Friendship, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Helen Roseberry, brothers, Marion, Donnie, Gene and Charlie. Grandparent's, Ivan and Hazel M. Davidson of Cimarron, Kansas. Memorial graveside service will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Cimarron Cemetery, Cimarron, with Rev. Richard Deimund officiating.
