James R. "Jim" Dwyre(1937 - 2014)

INGALLS – James "Jim" R. Dwyre, 76, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City.

He was born August 28, 1937 at Maitland, Missouri the son of Ronald and Catherine Bird Dwyre. A Gray County resident since 1964, moving from Missouri, he started Dwyre Grinding Service in 1973 and for many years as well as working as the Head Millwright for Ernest Spencer. He was a former Ingalls City Council Member and former volunteer Fire Chief.

On October 5, 1957 he married Joyce Clements at Maryville, Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2002.

Survivors include: a son, Dennis Dwyre and wife Jeanette, Ingalls; 3 sisters, Naomi Morgan, Clarinda, Iowa, Ruby Davis, Mound City, Missouri and Mary Jane Broker and husband Jim, Mound City, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Dwyre and wife Amy, Ian Waco Dwyre, Malibu Hands, Jim Dwyre and wife Krista, Marcy Dwyre, Jordon Dwyre, Marshall Dwyre, Savannah Dwyre, Kendall Dwyre and Bob Dwyre and wife Shari; and 13 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and 3 sons, Doug, Dan and Ronald Dwyre.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, Cimarron, with Rev. Richard Deimund officiating. Friends may call from noon to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron. Burial will be in the Cimarron Cemetery.
