Kenneth Young Obituary
He was born February 3, 1956 in Ulysses, Kansas, the son of Marion Jacob "Arkie" and Mary Lou (McKee) Young.
Kenneth was joined in marriage to JoAnne Garman on August 20, 1977
He was a graduate from Stanton County High School in 1974 and Flint Hills Technical College in 1992 in Industrial Maintenance. Kenneth was working in maintenance at Hopkins Manufacturing for the past 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, JoAnne of the home; his mother, Mary Lou Young of Dodge City; four daughters, Audra Sundberg of Admire, Jennifer Young of Osage City, Amanda Young of Topeka and Jori Weakley of Hamilton, Kansas; a son, Joel Young of Emporia; a sister, Karla Schwarz of Dodge City; three brothers, Steve Young of Falcon, Colorado, Robert Glen Young of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Kelly Young of Peoria, Arizona, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Victory Fellowship Foursquare Church in Emporia. Family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2014 at the church. Mr. Young will be cremated after service and private family inurnment at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kenneth Edward Young Memorial Fund and sent in care of Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home, P.O. Box 43, Lebo, Kansas 66856.
