Henry, Dennis D.
Dennis D. Henry, 65, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Monday morning (December 3, 2012) at his home after a short battle with cancer.
He was born August 24, 1947 in Sturgeon Bay, the son of the late John and Margaret (Robertoy) Henry. After graduating from Gibraltar High School in 1965 he was drafted to serve in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War
from 1967 through 1968. On August 8, 1970 he married Sally Jo Ronsman at Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church. Dennis worked as a pipefitter at PBI before his employment with Bay Ship for 37 years until his retirement in 2007. At Bay Ship he was known as "Little Man" to his co-workers and friends.
Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, being on his boat, spending time with his family, woodworking, watching his grandchildren and being at their events. He was a hardworking, loving man who was devoted to his family and friends, and enjoyed listening to country music. Deer hunting was a yearly ritual for Dennis and he was able to get out in the woods to shoot a buck this year. He was thrilled this season as he was able to see his grandson take his first buck in the early season youth hunt.
