Marion Bley

Marion M. Bley, 96, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on May 15, 2013, at Ministry Door County Medical Center. She was born on May 15, 1917, in

Door County to William and Hulda (Klessig) Simonar. On January 9, 1937, she married Stanley "Smokey" Bley, he preceded her in death on August 8, 1983.

Marion was a lifelong resident of Door County and was an avid fan of the Door County Baseball League. She was a devoted Christian and shared her faith teaching Sunday school the years her daughters attended. Marion was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her four daughters, Diann Ehlers, Sturgeon Bay; Mary (Peter) Paul, Texas; Bonnie Viste, Baileys Harbor; Penny (Tim) Biwer, Fish Creek; 12 grandchildren, D. Todd (Cindy) Ehlers, Tamie (Dave) Grasse, Jennifer (Scott) Smith, Gary (Karen) Paul, Jay (Kendra) Viste, Jayne (David) Trauger, Jody (Carrie) Viste, Jolynn (David) Nelson, Heather (Jim) Steineke, Leah Biwer, Cole Biwer, and Tanner Biwer; 12 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Gwen Simonar. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons-in-law, Danny Ehlers and Douglas Viste; two sisters, two brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Darrick Kolterjahn officiating. Burial will be in Blossomburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be given to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in her memory.
