James Brandt

James Joseph Brandt, 82, of Bowler and formerly of Door County, passed away at Manor Care in Shawano on January 7, 2014. He was born on August 7, 1931, in Milwaukee to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brandt. Jim worked as a steel inventory manager at Bay Ship Building for many years and then relocated to Bowler, Wisconsin. Jim had a great sense of humor and was well liked in his community. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include five children, Vicki (Rick) Hannemann II, Sturgeon Bay; Randy (Michelle) Brandt, Sturgeon Bay; Kathy (Timothy) Good, Algoma; Lori (Kevin) Wodack, Sturgeon Bay; Linda (John) Kurz, Sturgeon Bay; two grandchildren, Derek Hannemann and Crystal (Craig) Ross; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Seth, and Bryce; one brother, John (Wanda) Brandt, Menomonee Falls; former wife, Shirley Brandt, Sturgeon Bay. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Hainesville Lutheran Church with Rev. Russ May officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Moravian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Saturday. Forbes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
