Virginia May Bennett Cellier Edwards, 93, of Sturgeon Bay, died peacefully, Monday morning, May 19, 2014, at Anna's Healthcare.

She was born December 1, 1920, in Omaha, NE, the daughter of the late William and Irene (Kessler) Bennett. Virginia graduated from the Catherine Gibbs Business School in New York. She owned and operated Lakeshore Secretarial Services in Wilmette, IL, and later became the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL, retiring in the early 1970s.

In her retirement, Virginia was able to pursue her avid interests in gardening, traveling, fine cooking and dining, as well as entertaining, socializing, and volunteering in her community. She had also been a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Garden Club of Key Biscayne. Virginia was a loving, giving, gentle, and gracious woman.

On August 11, 1945, she was united in marriage to Frank S. Cellier in Wakefield, MA. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1971. On December 31, 1978, Virginia married Edward T. Edwards in Miami, FL. They lived in Key Biscayne, FL. Eddie preceded her in death on May 18, 1993. In March of 2006, Virginia left Florida and moved to Sturgeon Bay.

Her love will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Pamela (David) Cellier Hirn of Sturgeon Bay; son, John Cellier of Suffern, NY; three grandchildren, Dana (Chris Mueller) Hirn Mueller of North Miami Beach, FL; Kyle Hirn of Seattle, WA; Luke (Sarah) Cellier of Georgetown, ME; and one great-grandson, Jacob Cellier.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Virginia was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Crowell.

At her request, there will be no public service.
