Cole, John R.

John R. Cole, age 92 of Fish Creek, WI, died on December 28, 2013, at Ministry Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay, WI. He was born in Manawa, WI, on July 13, 1921, to Leonard and Elaine (Moore) Cole.

John worked for the National Cash Register Company until his retirement and then owned and operated Coles Tole & Country in Fish Creek, WI. He along with his two sons in 1965 started & built Stonehedge Golf Course in Egg Harbor.

John served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and was a member of the Egg Harbor Lions Club.

John married Valoice Krueger at New London, WI on April 6, 1950 and she preceded him in death on September 20, 1999.

He is survived by his children, Thomas and Kathy Cole, Susan (Clay) Zielke and Mike (Debbie) Cole; and grandchildren, Jon, Andrea and Amanda and Corrine, Regan, Morgan, Griffin and Cooper and great- grandchild Londyn and Special Friend Elaine Bonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Richard Cole.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Juddville on Friday, January 3, 2013, at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St Paul's Lutheran Church.
