Arment, Beverly L.

Beverly L. Arment, 82, of Sturgeon Bay passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Scandia Village on January 19, 2014.

She was born December 26, 1932, in Dixon, Illinois, to the late LeRoy and Muriel Arment. She graduated from Burbank High School in Burbank, California. She also was awarded Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Speech and English from the University of Michigan. Bev taught English at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and at North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Illinois. After leaving teaching Bev helped run a two woman stoneware pottery business.

Beverly loved watching and cheering for the University of Michigan Wolverine football team, reading, Scrabble, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her sister, Julie Shannon Geller. Beverly is survived by her life partner of 51 years Jane Dalton; her brother-in-law, Bill Geller; uncle, Vernon Arment; and cousins, Judy Gowin (Arment), Betty Ann Scroggins (Arment), Betty Gail Manlove (Arment), Deena Daliey (Arment), Anita Harris (Arment), and Ronald Arment.

The family would very much like to thank the superb caregivers at Good Samaritan for all the loving care and support they gave Beverly over the last two years. Your care and compassion will never be forgotten.

Jane Dalton invites you to come to a Memorial to celebrate the life of Beverly. The memorial will be February 6th, at the English Inn in Fish Creek at 4:00 pm for drinks, appetizers and remembrances. A dinner will follow, where we can celebrate our dear friend Beverly's life.
