Ann Charity Speakman-Kobza Obituary
Ann Charity Speakman-Kobza, age 59, of Hartly, DE, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. She was born on November 15, 1955 in Wilmington, DE to the late Ralph J. and Doris N. (Whalen) Speakman.

She studied and trained to be a nurse, but pursued a career as a security and fraud executive in the communications industry for Cingular Wireless. An animal lover, she enjoyed the birds at her outside feeders, especially the humming birds, her beloved German shepherd, Lance, and horses. She was the first woman to receive a thoroughbred trainer's license in the State of Delaware.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of Hartly, DE; son Gabriel Alan Harvey and wife Michelle of Rye, NY; daughters Tammy Sumner and husband Richard of Odessa, DE, Liz Thompson and husband Kris of Milford, DE, and Joyce Simmons and husband Eric of Bear, DE; sisters Hope Given of Elkton, MD, and Donna Speakman-Moux and husband Buzz of Elkton, MD; and six grandchildren, Madison, Peyton, Savanna, Hayden, Paige, and Brianna.

A Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at R. T. Funeral Home, PA, 259 E. Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Family and friends may visit 6-8PM on Friday, May 29, 2015 and at 10AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
