Charles G. Wood Obituary
Charles Garnice Wood, age 79, passed away quietly at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford on September 23, 2014.

Charlie and his wife both graduated from Greensboro High School in 1953. Most of his working career was at International Playtex where he was a supervisor in the Data Processing Department. He retired from International Playtex.

Family, friends and associates commented that he was quiet, kind, friendly, gentle, easy-going and a wonderful person. He was active in the Republican Party in Delaware, the Delaware Valley Iris Society in Pennsylvania, the Eastern Shore Iris Society in Salisbury, the Diamond State Iris Society in Delaware and the Greensboro High School Reunion Committee.

He is survived by Joan, his wife of 59 years, a son Charles (Randy) of Felton, a son Greg of Newark, and daughter Denise Agrawal Kowski of Clayton and her husband Mike. Also surviving him are four grandchildren, Brian Wood of Newark, Kathy Wood of Newark, Sheela Agrawal of Charleston, S.C. and Neeta Agrawal of Mobile, Alabama. Three sisters survive him, Bonnie Feeney of Salisbury, Della Lynch of Ridgely, Maryland and JoAnn Hickman and her husband Clayton of Greensboro, Maryland. He also had many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Ila Wood of Greensboro and a sister Anna Lee Mills of Salisbury.
A viewing will be on Sunday, October 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The funeral will be October 6 at 10:00 a.m. with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Dover. All services are at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, Delaware.

Delaware Hospice was an outstanding organization that made Charlie's last days as comfortable as possible and helped the family through this difficult time.
