Donald Lee Spence Obituary
Donald Lee Spence passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Delaware Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 73.

Donald was born on November 26, 1940 in Dover, Delaware, son of the late Roy and Margaret (Anderson) Spence. He served in the National Guard for six years.

He later worked for the family business, Simpson Lumber where he became the hardware store manager.

Donald enjoyed boating, fishing and bicycling. His memberships included Whatcoat United Methodist Church, Camden-Wyoming Volunteer Fire Company, Prison Fellowship Ministries, Angel Tree and Marriage Encounter United Methodist.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Ann Simpson Spence, four children Matthew Spence of Felton, Paul Spence of Camden, Michael Spence and his wife Kristin of Canterbury and Jennifer Spence of Camden, grandchildren Dylan Spence, Anna Spence and Andrew Spence, brother Roy James Spence of Camden and an extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 25 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26 at the Whatcoat United Methodist Church, 16 N. Main St., Camden.

Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Marriage Encounter United Methodist, c/o 16 N. Main St., Camden, DE 19934.
