Edna V. Willis Obituary
Edna V. Willis of Smyrna passed away peacefully at home early Saturday morning, April 11, 2015. She was 96.

Mrs. Willis was born August 29, 1918, in Harbeson, Delaware, to the late Harry and Virgie Dorman. She was a graduate of Goldey-Beacom College and was employed by Wharton-Bernard Auto Parts in Milford until she married William H. Willis January 23, 1946. Mr. and Mrs. Willis moved to Smyrna in 1952 where they raised three sons while operating the family's automobile business.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Alberta Lofland and her brother, Arthur Dorman.

She is survived by her sons, William H. "Bill" Willis, Jr. and his wife Mary Jane of Smyrna, Harry D. "Skip" Willis and his wife Karen of Smyrna, and Richard M. Willis and his wife Kim of Waukee, Iowa; her grandchildren, Blair Willis (Lori), Isaac Willis (Christy), Lincoln Willis (Laura), Whitney Snow (Jonathan), Justin Willis, Ashley Willis, Jason Willis (Lori), and Matthew Willis (Jennifer); and her great-grandchildren, Brooke and Mason Willis, Deane and Ellwood Willis, Savannah and Wyatt Snow, AJ, Katelyn, and Jackson Willis, and Beckham, Jacquelyn, and Taylor Willis. She is survived by her beloved caregiver, Michelle Showell, and many extended family and friends who were honored to call her Grandmom.

A viewing will be held Tuesday evening, April 14, 2015 from 5-7 PM and Wednesday morning, April 15, 2015 from 10-11 AM at Asbury United Methodist Church, 20 W. Mt. Vernon Street, Smyrna. Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 20 W. Mt. Vernon Street, Smyrna, DE 19977 or to Bayhealth Medical Centers, 640 S.
